October 1, 2021
Now in its tenth year, Stoptober runs from 1 October for 28 days and highlights the benefits of smokers kicking the habit for good.
With Covid-19 still in circulation and the Winter months closing in on us, there is no better time to quit!
Smokers are considered to be more susceptible to the risks of the virus and by making an attempt to quit smoking will not only award immediate health benefits but also reduce their risk factors.
We will be sharing helpful messages across our social media platforms and website during Stoptober. This includes highlighting support options that are available to all on the NHS Better Health website including the free NHS Quit Smoking app.
The sooner you quit, the sooner you’ll notice changes to your body and health. Look at what happens when you quit for good below.
It’s never too late to quit. So join in this Stoptober and start moving, saving money and breathing more easily.
